It has come to our attention that 2018 and 2019 Honda Odyssey vehicles equipped with a ZF9HP transmission may exhibit a shuddering, juddering, jerking or unexplained acceleration when taking off from a stop. Honda Odyssey drivers have been reporting issues when attempting to accelerate from a stop, merge into traffic, driving uphill and changing gears. They are also experiencing hesitation following pressing on the gas pedal, downshifting, surging, or sudden violent shaking often referred to as “shuddering.”
These types of transmission issues may put Honda Odyssey drivers at risk, as well as other passengers or drivers on the road.
Alert Honda If You Are Experiencing These Issues
Should you experience any of the above issues with your 2018 or 2019 Honda Odyssey vehicle, it is our recommendation that you first bring it to the attention of Honda and request that they repair your vehicle. State and/or federal Lemon Laws require that before you may bring a lawsuit you must first provide the manufacturer with a reasonable opportunity to repair your vehicle.
